The plot thickens, as does the knot. The up-start music business graduate from Vancouver, Canada lays tight, insightful, yet sarcastic and coy flow over above and beyond beats. The self-titled project “Y KNOT” is his first official release, the skillset displayed on which he credits to working with many other inspiring producers and artist that bring out the best in him. Tried and true, with no cheap MCs allowed, Y Knot brings a raw, blunt point of view to a game often over-done and embellished.

Artistically, he credits a colourful life of ups and downs, a trying youth, prevalently rising over challenges a-many, and stating numerous battles with inner demons -like everyone else, he notes. This perseverance can be heard throughout his lion-hearted, youth-driven playful lyrics.

There will be much more to come from this West coast entrepreneur; Y (you can call him that now), has also taken a step towards the production side, and has started working on projects with artists such as Pigeon Park, Atlin and DJ Myles Anthony, courtesy of his self-started independent record label, Reel Records.
